Forth Rail Bridge

10 stop ND filter, bridge, calm water, evening light, Firth of Forth, Forth Rail Bridge, long exposure, United Kingdom, Scotland, South Queensferry, Großbritannien, Vereinigtes Königreich, Schottland, Grossbritannien, Vereinigtes Koenigreich

The Forth Rail Bridge (also called Forth Railway Bridge) is a cantilever railway bridge over the Firth of Forth in the east of Scotland which was opened in 1890. It is seen here in front of a colorful sunset sky from South Queensferry. A long exposure time (achieved with the help of a 10 stop ND filter) makes the water of the Firth of Forth look velvet smooth. South Queensferry is in Lothian in the south of Scotland, United Kingdom. This photo was taken in the evening of a sunny day in July of 2013. This photo is part of the exhibition Water in Motion (October 2012). This photo is in the Photo Calendar "Scotland". This photo was taken with a digital camera.
